Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Wedding Photography
Whether you are a true royalist or strongly oppose the monarchy, you will agree that the current hype around Royal Family is pretty high with recently released second Netflix series of the critically acclaimed The Crown that follows the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II's reign as well as the recent engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Meghan has been apparently looking to do things differently for her wedding day starting from potentially wearing a non-British designer to making her own speech. Being a wedding photographer myself, I can’t but wonder about her approach to wedding photography.
Will they go with a very traditional photography or decide on a more natural documentary style? Will it be A-listers’ photographer Hugo Bumand, who got the job to document Kate and William’s big day in 2011? Or perhaps the British-born celebrity photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who previously worked as Mario Testino's assistant, and has recently created the already well-recognised engagement photographs for Meghan and Prince Harry. What we know for sure, it is not going to be the iconic photographer Mario Testino following the recent allegations against him.
A wedding photographer is someone who you are trusting to document one of the most important days in your life and capture the essence of your relationship. It is important that you have confidence in them and can connect with them even if you are a royal. I imagine Meghan and Harry will choose someone for those qualities whether it is a traditional or reportage style wedding photographer.
