Classy Pembroke Lodge Wedding with a Jewish twist - Jo & Alex
Today on the blog Jo & Alex's romantic October wedding. They got married in quite St. Margaret's Church in Putney followed by a reception in Pembroke Lodge, a beautiful Georgian Mansion in the heart of Richmond Park.
I'm a bit biased as I live close to the park and spend there a lot of time either cycling or going for walks, but I haven't been to the more magical setting for a wedding than that. Other than Pembroke Lodge being a fantastic venue, Richmond Park is a unique island of tranquility and beauty within busy and hectic London. It looks heavenly in all four seasons. So if you are after a wedding venue with a countryside feel to it, but don't want to travel from London, I can't recommend this area highly enough.
Back to the wedding though, the day was steeped in emotions and reflected the serene and loving relationship between the guys. I absolutely love when couples are celebrating their wedding in a way which is meaningful and feels like them. Jo & Alex's day had a classy English countryside feel to it, but they incorporated some personal unique to them touches. They had a Christian wedding ceremony, but incorporated some elements of the Jewish weddings to recognise Alex's background including the blessing over the wine with his brother doing the honours.
As they say, photographs speak louder than words though, so here are some of the images of the beautiful couple Jo & Alex and their utterly romantic intimate wedding with a touch of nostalgia for you to enjoy.
